How we chose
We include hosts that publish RM prices for shared hosting, and compare:
- Free SSL certificate.
- Web application firewall and malware scanning or removal.
- Backups: how often (retention when stated).
- Data centre in Malaysia (only when the host states it).
- Promotional price vs renewal price, when published.
Not tested hands-on
Every price and feature on this page comes from the vendor's own website or documentation, checked on 8 November 2026 and linked under each option. Prices change often and may exclude tax (including SST). Confirm on the vendor page before you buy. Read our methodology.

FAQ
Does my website have to be hosted in Malaysia?
Not for most businesses. Some sectors or contracts have data location rules; check those. PDPA 2010 has rules on transferring personal data outside Malaysia; see our PDPA checklist.
Are host backups enough?
Keep your own copy as well. If the hosting account is compromised or closed, backups stored in the same account may go with it.
Why does the first-year price look so low?
Hosting prices are often promotional for the first term and renew higher. Check the renewal price before you commit to a long term.
